More info:

Family Hubs are a new way of bringing together all the support families may need from pregnancy through to young people turning 19 years (or 25 if they have a disability).

The first of three Family Hubs coming to Croydon is at Woodland’s Children’s Centre. It will offer families a range of services, support and guidance which includes the current children’s centre activities.

Two further Family Hubs will be launched and be in place by March 2025.

The children’s centre activities will continue and over time will be integrated with the new ‘Start for Life’ programme for very young children and their families, alongside activities and support for older children and young people.

Families will be asked to complete a Family Hubs registration form which will help us to ensure you can access the services that are right for you and your family.

With your consent, we will use your data to: Determine the services and support that you may require; Provide the most appropriate support to you/your family; Anaylse the type of services used to plan future services; Monitor the level of services that we are providing overall; Report to the Department for Education (DfE) and the Department for Health and Social Care - this is because we have received funding from the DfE to develop Family Hubs. We will report high level data, from which no one will be identifiable in the information we return, e.g., we will provide a count of how many families have been supported by each of the Family Hub services.

The Family Hub model encourages professionals to work together to support families – including Midwifery, Health Visitors, School Nurses, Outreach Teams, Early Help Workers, Social Workers and local organisations.
