Norbury Stories - free creative writing festival

The Norbury Village Green Residents’ Association (NVGRA) would like to invite Norbury residents to Norbury Stories - a free creative writing festival. The full timetable is below. All activities are free, but registration is required for the playwriting workshop and the introduction to poetry writing session. Sign up at the links below. Otherwise just show up on the day and bring lunch if you want!
Timetable:
11am: Introduction: from NVGRA Chair
11.10 - 12:00 Performances: seven mini plays from Norbury residents with actors
12 - 12.30: Discussion: Q and A with writers of the mini plays
12.30 - 1.15: Lunch break: free tea and coffee provided, bring own lunch if wanted
1.15 - 2.15: Playwriting workshop: (upstairs room of library) Registration required sign up here.
1.15 - 2.15: Children’s activities: (no registration required, in the children’s library section) including:
Teddies Adventure! Join Teddy, Eddie and Mehdi on their adventures among the shelves - interactive story
Write or draw your own special teddy adventure!
Storytime with puppets! A modern environmental folk tale brought to life with woodland elf puppets. A show for children aged 4+ with plenty of audience participation.
2.30 - 4: Poetry writing workshop: Mo Lishomwa is a local resident, poet and writer. She will run an introduction to writing poetry session in a friendly, supportive space, looking at tips and tools to free your creativity to create poems. Followed by readings of the work of local poets - including yours if you choose - no pressure! Registration required sign up here.
