Ubuntu: A Global Portrait of Death, Care, and Connection

An intimate exploration of compassion and community in the face of death, by Andre Francois

 

Join exhibition producer Camila Pastorelli as she shares powerful journeys and stories of community, connection, death, and dying from around the world — all seen through the lens of the camera.

St Christopher’s is privileged to be exhibiting 40 of the more than 55,000 photographs Andre took, many of which appear in his book Ubuntu – I am because we are. taken from the African philosophy which focuses on humanity, belonging and community.
