Qi Gong for Carers (Croydon Carers Centre)
Wednesday 17 June 2026
10:30 to 11:45
"Qi" means energy/vitality and the quality of mind body integration. "Gong" means cultivation. Going back thousands of years, qigong includes slow moving exercises and stationary poses (tai chi is a martial form of qigong). It is suitable for all ages, levels of fitness and levels of mobility. No previous experience is needed, just yourself and comfortable clothing with socks/flat shoes for use on a wooden or carpeted floor. The instructor, Andrew, started with aikido, a fast flowing martial art, 30 years ago; tai chi 20 years ago and focusing on qigong 10 years ago.
