The Big Energy Saving Network

The Upper Norwood Library Hub are working on the above project and are keen to engage with groups- particularly those with over 60s/vulnerable members,

They can come along to groups and organisations and give your service users short talks on how they can save energy and money in the home and stay warmer this winter.

The talks are short and sweet, and they will teach the groups:

  • about switching energy supplier to save money
  • the Warm Home discount scheme which offers vulnerable individuals a £140 rebate on their electricity bill
  • the Priority Services Register which offers extra support with large print bills, and meter reading services and more

For example, Switching supplier is a really easy to make an instant lump sum cash saving.

If you have any events coming up that have over 60s/vulnerable individuals in attendance, get in touch. Call 020 8670 4389 or email april.dutton@unltd.org.

They can hold discussion groups and also offer one on one sessions helping any individuals with specific issues such as fuel debt/damp and mould problems/high energy bills etc.

You can also drop into The Upper Norwood Library Hub at Crystal Palace Library at any time to receive energy saving advice tailored to you.
