Croydon BME Forum is starting a new service in March 2019 aimed at isolated older people, those with mobility problems and/or anyone else who finds it difficult to go shopping. For £3 per person, a minibus will pick them up once a week from their home address, take them to Sainsbury’s in Purley Way, help them shop (if needed) and drive them back home. Bookings will be required.

They are also looking for friendly and reliable volunteer escorts to help older people on the bus, assist with their shopping (if needed) and socialise with them. This opportunity would suit people who can commit once a week, want to give something back to the community and learn new skills. Training will be provided.
