Creating Conversations in Croydon Training

St Christopher's Hospice are looking for volunteers for their Creating Conversatons Project.

The focus is to empower people of all ages, to begin to explore their last years of life wishes and preferences, and gain the practical knowledge they might need to make arrangements such as funeral plans and wills, exploring last years of life care plans, Power of Attorney, as well as addressing emotional matters and cultural practices.

Simply by making it easier to talk about death and dying and encouraging planning for someone’s last years of life and care, can ease worries and anxieties about the future and let living be about the present –making a real difference to quality of life!

As a Creating Conversations Volunteer in Croydon, you will be breaking down barriers about talking about death and dying through awareness-raising activities, which might include support at Creating Conversations events, group interactions and 1:1 conversations within your community groups.

As Volunteers in the exciting pioneering initiative in Croydon, you will be offered support and supervision by the Project lead as well as a link to St Christopher's with their vast experience in this field

The training will take place at:

St Michael's Church Hall 7 Poplar Walk Croydon CR0 1UA
on
11 June; 18 June; 25 June; 2 July
from
9.30am - 4.15pm

You need to attend all training dates.
