The Southern Rail Bicycle Dispersal Scheme wishes to donate these bikes to a selection of schemes from across the Southern Rail operational area and are seeking applications from organisations who operate on a not for profit basis in the Southern Rail area, to take at least one month’s supply of abandoned bikes (that are in a salvageable condition) – estimated to be 20+ bikes in a month. The registration process is simple – tell them what you want to do with the bikes and how your project will affect positive social change.
Looking for projects that can demonstrate an upskilling element for marginalised people – whilst incorporating one or more of GTR’s core CSR priorities of: Homelessness, Young People, Mental Health and the Environment.
They will require annual reporting on the number of bikes received, the number of bikes recycled and further details on the use that the bikes have been put to with your client group.

No deadline is set on the application process, but the bike supply is limited! So please get your registration in early if you think your organisation would be able to handle at least one month’s supply of bikes. They will contact those interested to let them know the exact start date.
