The Integrated Care System is working on their Mental Health Strategy for its six South West London boroughs (Sutton, Merton, Croydon, Wandsworth, Richmond and Kingston). It has four themes: Prevention and Early Support, Inequalities, Bio-psycho social model and Timely access.
Amongst their aspirations for 2033:
- To have fully integrated mental health care in place for people with serious mental illness and physical health needs, social care needs (including supported living), learning disability and autism, homelessness and substance misuse
- To have redirected mental health investment with the majority of spend occurring in primary care, voluntary community and social enterprise and community settings.
The strategy will be launched officially in July 2023. This Strategy and Finalised Content document was presented at the May meeting of the Integrated Care Board
