New app and small funding opportunity

The South West London Integrated Care System (SWL ICS) Long Term Conditions Programme team are working with Superhighways, via the SWL VCSE Alliance, to help promote the getUBetter app (AndroidApple iOS) which the NHS is using to help patients to self-manage certain conditions.  Longer term the app will support more conditions but the current focus is specifically on people with all common musculoskeletal injuries and conditions, and women’s pelvic health conditions.

Patients are either referred to use the app by a medical professional or they can self-refer. By entering their borough and their GP surgery they will be able to access the correct pathway for their condition.  In this video Rafaelle talks about his positive experience with the app.

Other useful resources can be found with this introduction video, this general presentation about the project and app and this Patient FAQ sheet.  Please help spread the word to people in your communities that may benefit.

Additionally, there is also a small grant pot for organisations who are interested in actively supporting a small number of users to use the app and gathering feedback on their experience.  There is a very short lead time, with delivery to start this month (March).  If you are interested in finding out more about this opportunity, please email katewhite@superhighways.org.uk.
