Would you like to run an event to support local people to stay healthy and well, and help increase cancer awareness in your local community? If so, funding is available to you.
RM Partners, the North West and South West London Cancer Alliance, is offering up to £500 to local community and voluntary groups to deliver activities and events that support local people to stay healthy and well through the South West London VCSE Alliance in South West London (Merton, Croydon, Wandsworth, Sutton, Kingston and Richmond).
This programme is part of their plan to reduce the time it takes from when a person first notices a cancer sign or symptom to the time they see their GP; they are open to ideas about different types of events or activities you can run (including yoga sessions, coffee and tea mornings, meditation hours, exercise classes, knitting workshops and more).
During these events they will be asking for messaging about cancer awareness to be shared and they will provide you with all the resources to support with this, including online training delivered by Cancer Research UK.
Events or activities need to take place between 15 July and 30 September 2024 and successful groups are expected to attend an online training session on Tues 2nd July (10am-12pm or 2-4pm).
