New Era Croydon funding to reduce and prevent youth violence

 

This funding deadline has now passed. 

 

New Era Croydon, funded by the Mayor of London’s Violence Reduction Unit and hosted by CVA, is bringing £100,000 in small grants into Croydon’s local voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) sector. 

Application form. 

Our aim this year is to support a range of activities specifically for young people, up to 25 years old, to be delivered in Croydon Town Centre and West Croydon.  
 
We particularly want to fund: 

  • Initiatives and activities that support young people to be in safe spaces after school. 
  • Parental / family support to guide and support children and young people away from serious youth violence. 
  • Specific activities for young girls and teenagers, encouraging positive behaviours and providing opportunities.  

The minimum grant distributed will be £5000, up to a maximum of £10,000 per organisation. 

We particularly want to support grassroots groups with an annual income of £75,000 or less. 

You need to be a constituted group with a constitution, a safeguarding policy and Public Liability insurance.   


Timescale

The timescales for the grant application process:

  • Opens: Monday 23 June 2025.  
  • Closes: Monday 30 June 2025.  
  • Judging panel convenes and decides by 9 July 2025.  
  • Successful applicants to be notified on Monday 14 July 2025.  
  • All projects to be delivered and reported on by 31 December 2025.
