Our Administrator volunteers are key to our keeping our information upto date and assist in finding key information about whats going on in our volunteer organisations. Ann although only with us for a short time specifically supported us to find out more about who is volunteering and where they are doing it.
Ann's Story
When did it start: Having lived in Croydon for the last 6 years I had spotted the Volunteer centre in passing. However, it was only until my sabbatical that I walked into the centre to enquire and explore opportunities. I officially started in May 2024 and have officially completed my regular volunteering effective end of July.
I will continue to support volunteer opportunities as best as they align with my new schedule. And I would strongly recommend to anyone able to offer their time and skills to support as many volunteering efforts out there. There are so many organisations putting people's needs forward and they rely on your support.
How Volunteering has impacted my life:
In a world where we can be anything. We can be kind. And kindness comes in many forms including helping where help is needed. The cost of helping a bigger, better cause is priceless.
And most importantly, be curious. Explore your strengths and apply those strengths to a good cause.
Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success. Ann A.
