We Stand Together - ACTIVATOR
Do you live in Croydon? Are you a refugee? Would you be interested in volunteering with us to deliver our Refugee Sports Project - "We Stand Together"?
As an Activator you will have leadership skills and the ability to influence and motivate people within your local community and peer groups. You will have an interest in how sport can bring people together and through volunteering you will work with us to set up new activities.
This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are keen to volunteer with the local community sports clubs and become part of the team. Through your volunteering you will represent community sports clubs positively within your refugee community and encourage peers to progress through the club.
What do you need?
Good communication skills and the ability to bring people together. Passionate about progressing into further volunteering, training or employment.
What are the benefits of gettign involved?
We will support you to use out data collection IT tools where you will assist us in sharing the stories of your progress and those of your peers. Through this it will inspire others to volunteer within their community. We will provide a reference for those who volunteer with us after a satisfactory period of time. We can provide training and progression into coaching qualifications in some circumstances.
