Croydon Voluntary Action’s role is to champion our communities, the organisations that represent them and the volunteers who sustain them. We are CVA, the champions of Croydon’s connected communities – from north to south and east to west. We stood alongside our communities during the pandemic, we stand alongside them against knife crime and we stand up now for a Croydon that prides itself on the diversity of its communities, the innovation of its community organisations and the generous giving of our volunteers.

This attached Statement of Purpose explains CVA’s role as an infrastructure body. Our priority in 2022 is to support a community-led renewal programme that delivers on Croydon’s main challenges - in tackling debt and poverty, mental health, knife crime and homelessness  – with this informing the 5-year strategic plan CVA draws up over the coming months in consultation with our community partners.
