Starting Line: pre-employment training
Starting Line is a pre-employment training programme for disabled people at the start of their journey into work. Seven-week service of two group sessions and one 1-2-1 with their advisor per week. Group sessions cover topics such as: confidence & assertiveness, time management. Interview skills etc. Customers will also have a mock interview. We will work with you to develop a programme around your career goals and how you can achieve them. Kickstart: employment support programme
Kickstart is a one-to-one support programme for disabled people who are applying for jobs. LEVELS LEARNING & RECRUITMENT - GO2GAMES
Offering a free programme that incorporates Learning and Recruitment to those over 18. Candidates develop enterprise skills, gain a Level 1 certificate in business, update their CVs and Linkedln profiles, gain work experience and a care package of up to 12 months after the end of the programme. Amongst the last cohort of 98 learners 100% received interviews, 100% completed work experience, 67% gained further opportunities and 33% went into full time employment. The organisation collaborates with a range of local businesses and groups including London South Bank University, Croydon College, The Prince's Trust, Crystal Palace Football Club etc. View their Go2Games presentation.
EDUCATION DEVELOPMENT TRUST
Their Make a Difference programme is funded by the European Union and will run until September 2023. It covers the Coast to Capital region, including Croydon. You need to be unemployed, eligible to work and a resident of Croydon. Priority is given to over 50s, lone parents, residents from ethnic minorities, residents with a disability/long-term condition or without basic skills. It offers personalised coaching for up to 4 months and group workshops. To refer someone call 01329 559177 or email mades@educationdevelopmenttrust.com
SMARTWORK
They will be opening a Croydon office at Centrale (lower Mall) at the end of February or beginning of March 2023. They provide free access to outfits for job interviews (and a second dress when they get a job) to all unemployed women as well as career and interview coaching. Call them on 0207 288 1770. They also run a Care leavers programme for any unemployed woman who is 16+ and is care experienced; this will include job searching and support while progressing in their career. https://smartworks.org.uk/

REED IN PARTNERSHIP
Their Better Working Futures programme is funded by the European Union. Candidates need to be unemployed, be over 18 and have the right to work in the UK. They need to be part of one specific category to be eligible (including having a health condition or disability, being an offender / ex-offender, a homeless person or a victim of domestic violence.
